Students
Our club's goal is to spread awareness about environmental issues, specifically about stormwater that is being discharged into local streams. We aim to provide high school volunteers with hands-on teaching opportunities. Additionally, we hope to teach elementary and middle school children about environmental concerns and take high school students to events similar to stream cleanups. We strive to educate the younger generations about the importance of water conservation. We aspire for the youth of society to be profound in the crucial topic that is stormwater management.
To pursue these hopes, we will enlighten these children about stormwater pollutants that are diminishing the value of our natural resources, water discharge , and how to conserve starting at home. We will edify these concepts with hands-on learning opportunities. We believe that starting with the younger generations will only benefit society as they will one day single handedly run the economy. Starting by inculcating the root of society, we will see substantial benefits in the rising future. In the end of this project, our drive is entirely based on our slogan “Conserve to Preserve”. In this club, we emphasize the importance of conservation of water in results for preservation of our environment.
Volunteers
Volunteers have the opportunity to enlighten the students about water safety and preservation. They'll lead engaging and hands-on activities, as well as attend cleanups during weekends through Allegheny CleanWays. All volunteers receive volunteer hours for their work.
